A number of the acoustic guitar tracks on this record were done on the porch of my house in southern California, with all the ambience intact, on April 23rd of this year. Little by little, their treatments and accompaniment have evolved in the last few months to grow into full-fledged myndflowers.
A couple of other acoustic guitar track were done at Studio Ikigai in Boulder, Colorado on July 13th of this year.

The view from here always changes with the light, with the feelings that accompany each moment, with the underlying sentiments that have shaped the day up to that point, and can change on the fly. The songs here reflect these different moments, memories, feelings, and views.

Some of these songs have been characterized as "from the desert" by those who have heard them in the process of being made, and indeed they are-the sounds of sunsets, hot sun, the haze rising from the hot earth.
