The site of the former Camarillo State Hospital, now the home to California State University Channel Islands where I work, is full of spirits, strange sounds, and unusual moments that give you pause.

But of course, there are spirits everywhere, sometimes within, sometimes outside of us, sometimes benign, sometimes not...always mysterious.

Adelante (a pesar de todo): Forward (in spite of it all)--the spirit of perseverance, despite the many pains and disappointments that linger from our pasts.

Tracks 2, 3, and 4 comprise the Spirits Present Suite inspired by the mysterious entity in my office who makes its presence known on a regular basis during the last several months, including footsteps on the ceiling and inexplicable shadows, among other things.

Lonely Days, They Were - a space in tyme far removed from the rest.

Zonda evokes the hot winds of my homeland desert in San Juan, Argentina as well as the Santa Anas here in California. Acoustic guitar recorded on the porch on a 106-degree day in September 2022.

Forever May You Fly (Songbirds Through A Summer Daze) is a reimagining of a track I did in 2015, an homage to the beauty of the bird songs as they accompany us throughout the day.

Nada fácil: Nothing easy--especially when it comes to perseverance.
